Once again thanks for two very well run courses – Time Management and PRINCE2 Foundations. The time management course in particular has been invaluable in managing not only my work life, and equally importantly, the rest of my day to day activities.

PRINCE2 Foundations has not only provided a framework in which to structure my projects, which makes my life simpler, but in these tougher economic times, provided a well regarded certification. Both instructors were well presented, knowledgeable and genuinely wanted to impart their knowledge, so I was very satisfied with both instructors.

For more than 5 years Corporate Express has been actively engaging DDLS to provide training services. Members of the Support Services team including myself have attended training courses over this period.

The courses are high quality, and have always met our needs. The instructors have excellent subject matter knowledge and all the staff DDLS are friendly and ensure the entire experience from booking to sitting the courses is an easy process.

I attended DDLS’ Time Management course on Monday 1st June 2009 and wanted to say thank you to DDLS and my instructor Donna.

I have taken several things from the course that have helped no end! Yesterday was my first day implementing the new methodology and it is working! For the more challenging members of my team I have scheduled 20 minute slots each day at their desk (not mine) and it worked yesterday as I was able to deal with business and walk away without being followed. Obviously, coming to my desk invited general conversation that I simply don’t have time for.

I have also started closing my Outlook and opening it only once every hour which makes a massive difference as I learned that I WON’T miss anything and the most any one will have to wait is 1 hour. This has led me to actually only read an email once using the process of read & delete, read & file or read & drag into my calendar to a time slot I can commit to.

Another really great tool which I have to thank you for (and cant believe I didn’t think of this) is my task list is now broken down into sub tasks. And you know the great things is, the only items on my task list were huge (or appeared to be) hence why they were not getting done. However when breaking down the tasks, there really is nothing to them and in those smaller “bite size chunks”, they are easily achievable! Especially now that I have allocated time to each one.

I have learned that I DON’T have a rubbish memory, I just had too much in big chunks to be across it all…. This new way is much easier to track… AND I left on time yesterday!

In closing… I just need to say that I cant thank you enough for the tools you have given me and my team.

I would like to thank Dimension Data Learning Solutions for developing a tailor made training package on ‘Communication & Customer Skills’. The content was invaluable in addressing our objectives and it was delivered by a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable presenter in Guy. His presentation style certainly kept everybody’s attention and interest throughout the training.

We found the training extremely beneficial in reinforcing and providing some handy tips, in dealing with all types of customers. Following the training, the office was a buzz with enthusiastic and highly motivated people, ready to assist customers with their newly acquired skills.

Just wanted to say how impressed I was with the "Leadership for IT Professionals" course.

It would have to be one of the most interactive and informative sessions of this nature that I have ever attended, and I have attended a few in my time. Guy is a fountain of knowledge and a brilliant facilitator.

After attending you course, I have come back to work with a different attitude to my work and customers. After talking about the different personalities and the way to deal with these, it has made communicate better for others to understand. I thoroughly enjoyed the training over the last two days and have taken a lot away, I will put it all into practice.

Believe it or not, I actually put into practice at home last night with my sister. ;)

On a more serious note. I think that humor and enjoyment that you put into the class made it as interesting and enjoyable as it was.

I’m keen to do other courses with your company, such as the writing class you mentioned and PA course.

Just wanted to let you know you did a fantastic job in presenting the Communication & Customer Skills for IT Professionals!!! We were advised prior to the course that you were a really good instructor, but you still exceeded my expectations. You were able to make it exciting and were able to maintain my attention for the entire time. Not usually an easy task, come 2pm.

I found it quite difficult when we given the task to respond to a situation and put the tools/knowledge we learnt into practice. I guess you would need to continually go over and over these processes for them to become as easy to carry out as you make them look. I was amazed to see how easily you could come up with the right respose for different situations.

One of my Managers asked me how the course went and when I told him how good you were he wanted your details! He is from Sydney and is a Program Manager for Inflight Entertainment. He has a few difficult customers that he would like to communicate better with. He has tried reading several books to find the answer but still hasn't found the right approach.

I found the Leadership for IT Professionals course very satisfying and would recommend it to others looking to learn or reinforce leadership skills. It was both informative and inspirational.

The instructor drew upon a broad range of personal experiences and interesting anecdotes to help deliver the knowledge. In addition, the student to instructor ratio was ideal allowing everyone to ask questions relative to their fields, augmenting the curriculum and giving a unique perception of leadership application across various career paths.
