Next month, Microsoft will hold its annual conference for IT professionals in Australia. As a Microsoft Gold Certified partner, two of DDLS’ most experienced Microsoft trainers will present at Tech.Ed on some of the key skills you’ll need to master Microsoft’s latest offerings.

About Roland’s session
This Pre-Conference Technical Training is instructor led and is for IT Professionals who are interested in seeing how to build their next network infrastructure on Windows Server 2008.  It focuses on how to use the new roles, features, and tools in Windows Server 2008 to create the network of the future. There are four key focus areas: Hyper-V and the Datacenter, Active Directory, Remote Access/Branch Office, and Security and Networking.

More about Roland
As Microsoft Product Manager in Readiness, Roland oversees the delivery of Microsoft training courses at DDLS. He is also responsible for introducing new technology-based training to DDLS to ensure that the company stays up to date with emerging technologies.

Prior to joining DDLS eight years ago, Roland worked as a trainer at TechConnect in London where he specialised in messaging and management of email systems. He also worked as a software administrator with Cross Atlantic Software.

About Jason’s session
New to System Center Configuration Manager 2007 is the ability to manage clients over the internet without the need for an internal IP address or VPN connection. This is a demo-driven session as Jason sets up all the required infrastructure and shows you how ConfigMgr can look after your clients even when they are roaming the big wide world.

More about Jason
Jason is a Microsoft Certified Trainer and conducts courses at DDLS across a range of Microsoft technologies and certifications. These include Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server, Microsoft Systems Centre Operations Manager and Softgrid Application Virtualisation, among others.

Prior to working with DDLS, Jason worked in the oil, gas and mineral exploration industry developing GIS systems, mostly through combining geochemical, geophysical and hyper spectral data into 3D models for exploration. He was also previously a solutions architect with Dimension Data’s integration unit.

Jason holds a BSc (HONS) in Geochemistry and MSc in Remote Sensing and Digital Image Processing from Imperial College/UCL, London.
