DDLS is reinforcing its commitment to providing Cisco Channel Partners with the latest training courses from the CCPP. The following Instructor Lead Training courses have been added to the DDLS public schedule, commencing in September 2006:

Foundation Express for System Engineers (CFXSE)
The Foundation Express Systems Engineers (SE) has training goals in four areas of emphasis to provide SEs with the basic knowledge and skills required to do the following:

  1. Support the sales effort with technical evaluation, analysis, and presentations as a complementary value-add that the SE provides the Account Manager.

  2. Planning activities that provide a technical description of solutions presented to Customers and point out specific advantages of selecting Cisco solutions.

  3. Developing a Detailed Network Design for the customer's network solution.

  4. Consulting and technical collaboration that the SE provides to the Field Engineer.

Foundation Express for Field Engineers (CFXFE)
The Foundation Express Field Engineer (FE) has training goals in three areas of emphasis to provide FEs with the basic knowledge and skills required to do the following:

  1. Prepare for implementation of the design solution as part of an SE and FE team effort.

  2. Install and configure the solution in the customer’s network so that the customer accepts the solution.

  3. Enable the customer's network operation and the administration of the integrated solution including monitoring baseline performance and managing abnormal incidents or problems.

Routing & Switching Solutions for Field Engineers (ARSFE)
Advanced Routing and Switching for the FE will prepare the learner for the implementation of the design solution as part of a System Engineer and Field Engineer effort, to install and configure the solution in the customer's network so that the customer accepts the solution.

Additionally, to enable the customer's network operation and the administration of the integrated solution in monitoring baseline performance and managing abnormal incidents or problems.

Routing & Switching Solutions for System Engineers (RSSSE)
The Routing and Switching Solutions for SEs course, teaches learners how to plan activities that provide a technical description of solutions presented to customers and point out specific advantages of selecting Cisco solutions as part of a System Engineer and Field Engineer team effort.

It will prepare the learner to develop a detailed network design for the customer's advanced routing and switching needs, including Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), Quality of Service (QoS), High Availability (HA), and IP version 6 (IPv6).

Advance Security for Field Engineers (ASFE)
This 5-days ILT course covers claims and evidence identified for the new Advanced Security FE Specialisation.

The Advanced Security FE training is part of the Cisco FE program. Emerging network security threats, such as viruses, worms, and spy ware, continue to plague customers and drain organizations of money, productivity, and opportunity.

Cisco's Self Defending Network solutions can dramatically improve the ability of network to automatically identify, prevent and adapt to security threats.

Security Solutions for Systems Engineers (SSSE)
This 5-day ILT course covers claims and evidence identified for the new Advanced Security SE Specialisation.

The Security Solutions for SE training is part of the Channel SE program and the course will form the basis for a new Security Cisco Qualified Specialist certification.

These courses are part of the Foundation Express, Advanced Routing & Switching and Advanced Security Specialisations.
