Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) updated to 2.2

September 2006  Print

Cisco has updated its Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) course to version 2.2.

This upgrade has resulted in the following changes to the course:

  • Improved labs

  • Clearer explanations

  • More information on VPNs

  • An introduction to Traffic Engineering

  • Elimination from the course of ATM related references

The MPLS course enables attendees to gather information from technology basics to advanced VPN configuration. The focus of the course is on VPN technology issues of MPLS from the Service Providers perspective and how to configure some of those features and functions in an existing routed environment. A basic introductory level of some of the more updated features and functions such as Traffic Engineering, Fast Reroute and Any Transport over MPLS (AToM) are introduced on a concept level only and the MPLS Traffic Engineering and other Features course should be taken for in depth learning of those topics.

DDLS has already updated its course offering to and MPLS v2.2 courses are scheduled nationally.

For additional information on the MPLS v2.2 course, please contact your Account Manager or the DDLS Customer Care Centre on 13 12 01.

Alternatively, the MPLS v2.2 course outline is available in the Cisco Routing & Switching / Networking Training section of the DDLS website.
