Office 2010 is here and it is packed full of features. Get ahead with the latest instalment of Microsoft Office 2010 with some of the great new additions below.
1. Your Application Your Way
You are no longer restricted to customising the Quick Access Toolbar. The ribbon is now customisable giving you the freedom to personalise your application to suit your style.
The Microsoft Office Backstage view replaces the File menu. This view gives you a one stop shop for all file management tasks including save, share and print.
2. Visually Repaired
You are sure to impress with your artistic skills using the Office 2010 improved picture formatting tools to create visually impressive documents. Transform your document into a work of art using tools such as colour saturation and artistic effects. Office 2010 also includes a large range of predefined Office themes and SmartArt graphics.
3. Save Time, Collaborate
Can’t all be in the office at one time? Office 2010 allows co-authoring for Word 2010, PowerPoint 2010, Excel 2010, Web Apps and OneNote shared notebooks. This gives you the ability to have multiple people work on the same document at the same time.
4. Microsoft Office Web Apps
Does accessing your documents anywhere, anytime sound appealing? Office 2010 can store your Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote files online. You can then access, view, edit and share content through the Web.
5. Excel has new features too
Excel 2010 has a plethora of data analysis and visualisation features that will knock your socks off. Sparklines are all the rage giving you a mini visual representation of your data with small charts within a worksheet cell.
PivotTables have also been improved. You can filter and segment your data into layers with the new slices feature.
6. PowerPoint has just got better
PowerPoint 2010 has its fair share of new features bundled into one easy to use application. You can now insert and customise videos without having to leave PowerPoint. You no longer have to send additional video files with PowerPoint 2010 as files are embedded by default.
7. Outlook can manage your messages
Feel you lose track of a conversation sending emails back and forth? Outlook can now automatically track conversations into one long email thread. Ever wished you could delete and reply to an email in one click? With the new Quick Steps feature you are able to perform multi-command tasks with the click of a button.
8. Broadcast with PowerPoint
You can easily broadcast your PowerPoint presentation to a remote audience.The beauty is they don’t even need to have PowerPoint installed to view it.
