A skilling launchpad for business growth

Boost performance with Microsoft Power Platform certification courses.

Whatever the industry or sector, Microsoft Power Platform is a trusted and powerful tool for all kinds of business. Microsoft Power Platform provides a rock-solid foundation for end-to-end business data analysis, automated processes, and app development for websites and virtual agents.

Microsoft commissioned Forrester Consulting to conduct a Total Economic Impact™ (TEI) study to examine the potential return on investment (ROI) enterprises may realise by deploying Power Platform and to evaluate the potential financial impact of Power Platform on their organisations. The results reinforce the value that makes both the solution so popular.

    • 50%-70% reduction in costs for citizen developer projects completed using low code/no code tools

    • 1% increase in revenues by Year 3 result from Microsoft Power Platform initiatives

    • Up to 5% increase in efficiency among users of solutions built with Microsoft Power Platform

    • 48% reduction in application development costs

    • 502% ROI over three years

So how do you become an expert in Microsoft Power Platform? Adapting the technology is one thing. But mastering it and utilising its capabilities for business growth is another.

To become a Power Platform expert, begin with the basics in Power Platform Fundamentals, then earn an associate certification (either Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate or Power Platform Developer Associate), before culminating in Power Platform Solution Architect Expert certification.

You can achieve these certifications, you need to attend Power Platform training courses, apply what you know to hands-on labs and to day to day tasks at work, and pass the exams.

Certification and skilling: Expanding on proven value

Cloud, wireless, hybrid work, advances in data management, and security all demand the skills to make faster and more agile use of data. By adding continued training and certification to the established value of your Microsoft tools, you gain substantial advantages for both the individual employee and the organisation.

A 2020 study by IDC found that developing and applying a growth mindset to training and certification is extremely important to long-term career resilience and organisational return on technology. And it starts with belief in skilling. Of those who have earned certifications, 91% believe that the effort they put into acquiring new skills strongly contributes to their success, not just the skills themselves. With that belief, determination pays off.

Even beyond Power Platform certifications, the benefits of accreditation have been quantified. A study by Pearson View found that once a certification candidate sets out a career goal that involves certification, they are also more likely to achieve promotions, pay raises, and new roles. A majority of candidates (70%) successfully fulfilled these primary goals. Once certified, 28% of employees receive a salary or wage increase. Of those earning a raise, 50% of candidates receive a pay increase of 6% to 20%. And it happens fast: 55% of those getting raises after certifications get them within three months.

When individuals within an organisation pursue certifications, the group benefits too. According to Global Knowledge’s 2022 IT Skills and Salary Report, 22% of IT managers reported that the added value from each credentialled staff member amounts to $32,000 per year.

IDC found that IT professionals who have achieved a relevant role-based technical certification perform on average 26% better than their uncertified colleagues with the same responsibilities. The same study reveals that trained and certified teams responsible for core IT activities are generally 20% more productive than uncertified staff.
