Included in this course is the Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2^® 2017 manual and the PRINCE2 2017 Foundation Exam. On completion of the Foundation course, students will be provided supporting AXELOS membership services online.

PRINCE2 is a process-based approach for project management, providing an easily tailored and scalable method for the management of all types of projects, across industries, both locally and internationally. The continued international development of PRINCE2 examinations, training and course material is contributing significantly to the recognition of PRINCE2 as a truly relevant and international project management standard.

Some consolidation work will be required by candidates in the evenings; 3 hours should be allowed for this on day one and day two.

By attending our 3-day PRINCE2 Foundation Course, participants will understand:

• The 7 Principles, 7 Themes and 7 Processes that underpin the PRINCE2 project management method
• The purpose and content of the PRINCE2 Process Map
• Key roles and responsibilities in a PRINCE2 project
• How to apply project management processes to effectively control the preparation, execution and closure phases of a project

PRINCE2 2017 Foundation Certification and Examination
By completing the Foundation course, participants will have sufficient knowledge to sit the PRINCE2 2017 Foundation Examination. The exam is held on day 3 of the course and results are made available immediately after the exam. Students who pass this exam are then able to attend the PRINCE2 2017 Practitioner course.

The PRINCE2 2017 Foundation Examination is:

• Multiple choice questions
• 60 questions per paper
• 33 marks required (out of 60 available) to pass: 55%
• One hour (60 minutes) duration
• Closed book

Students are strongly encouraged to attend the Practitioner course immediately after the Foundation course. This is because the Practitioner exam requires strong current knowledge of the PRINCE2 2017 book. This knowledge is gained in the Foundation course and therefore is still fresh for assisting with passing the Practitioner exam.

Note that this course duration is now 1.5 days, with students sitting the exam on the morning of the second day.

Our PRINCE2 2017 Practitioner course is uniquely designed to provide the in-depth knowledge and understanding necessary to practice and apply the PRINCE2 2017 methodology.

Participants are required to exhibit the competence required from the PRINCE2 2017 Foundation qualification and show how they can apply PRINCE2 to address the needs of a project, the sponsoring organisation and the needs of various stakeholders, to a set of specific project scenarios.

It is important to know that some consolidation work will be required by candidates in the evenings; 3 hours should be allowed for this on the first day.

PRINCE2 2017 Practitioner Certification and Examination
Passing the PRINCE2 2017 Foundation Examination is a pre-requisite to undertaking the PRINCE2 2017 Practitioner Examination. The exam is held on day 2 of the course.

The PRINCE2 2017 Practitioner Examination is:

• Objective testing
• 68 questions per paper
• 38 marks required (out of 68 available) to pass: approximately 55%
• 2.5 hours (150 minutes) duration, no additional reading time
• Open book exam (official PRINCE2 2017 manual only)

Students are strongly encouraged to attend the Practitioner course immediately after the Foundation course. This is because the Practitioner exam requires strong current knowledge of the PRINCE2 2017 book. This knowledge is gained in the Foundation course and therefore is still fresh for assisting with passing the Practitioner exam.
