Thank you for choosing DDLS. We hope you enjoy your course this week. We’d like to take this opportunity to explain our Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policy, describing our responsibilities and yours.

Emergency Evacuation Procedure

In the case we must undertake an emergency evacuation of the building:

  1. Follow the instructions of your trainer.

  2. Stay with your group.

  3. Follow the other building occupants to the emergency assembly area in Belmore Park (marked with a yellow star on the map below).

  4. DDLS groups will assemble at the rotunda nearby (marked with an orange circle on the map below).

Key Responsibilities

All staff and students must:

  1. Take reasonable care of themselves.

  2. Not wilfully place at risk the health, safety and wellbeing of others.

  3. Cooperate with action taken to protect health and safety.

Health

  1. If you are ill please stay at home.

  2. Phone us if you will be absent: 1800 U LEARN (1800 853 276).

  3. Hygiene: Wash your hands, cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze, and all those other things your mother asked you to do.

Safety

  1. Keep us informed: Hazards and Accidents.

  2. Accidents: Report all accidents to your trainer or reception. If serious dial 000, then let us know.

  3. Report all hazards and accidents.
